This is on my “Top 10 Greatest All-Time Short Songs” list. Its amazing ZZ Top packed all that rockin’ into two minutes, fifteen seconds. They then continued on that tangent with “Heard it on The X”.

The pronunciation of the song’s title varies. Although many people request the tune by asking for “toosh”, I hear it sung rhyming with “hush”. The anatomic references are obvious, but Dusty Hill has stated it’s also another word for “lavish”. “I’m just lookin’ for some lavish”? That doesn’t work for me.

Although the song peaked at Number 20 in ’75, it is as well known as many chart-toppers thanks to bar bands needing one extra song in their set. Sing along, but there is some risk of not being able to hit at least one of the notes. That’s why “Tush” also resides on my “Top 10 Songs I Don’t Want to Hear on Karaoke Night” list.
