"Just Remember I Love You" by Firefall

Not to be confused with the video game, Firefall was made up of experienced contributors to the California Country/Rock scene. Members played with The Byrds, Flying Burrito Brothers, Gram Parsons and Spirit. They released their first album in ’75.

In ’77, they came out with Luna Sea (get it?). They had their California-meets-topical-spiced-with-horns-and-flute sound down by this album. “Just Remember I Love You” is the band’s second-best-performing song, hitting Number 11 on the Hot 100 and #1 Adult Contemporary charts. This had to be a BIG slow dancing song at prom or homecoming that year.

Just before joining the Eagles, Timothy B. Schmitt laid down the high harmony parts. He has the distinction of being the guy who replaced Randy Meisner in Poco and the Eagles. He was also in Jimmy Buffet’s Coral Reefer band and is credited for coining the term “Parrot Heads”.
