"Mr. Bucket"

In 1990, adults enjoyed the commercial, because it was full of innuendo. See it here. The game was serious fun for toddlers. It was a great way to run them ragged, plus they learned their colors and exercised hand-eye coordination.
Mr. Bucket from Milton Bradley moved around the floor while its arms and hands moved, at times blocking the top of the bucket. Each player had a colored shovel and had to scoop the matching balls into the M.B., who would then go and spit them out of his mouth. This lead to the amped-up kiddies chasing them down again. If a kid was fast enough he could get all the balls to stay in the bucket, thus winning the game.
Whether feeding Hungry Hippos or catching paper butterflies, Milton Bradley always had a motorized game aimed at teaching children the art of frustration. With Mr. Bucket, you had that and a catchy jingle that included the line “Toss your balls in my top...out of my mouth they will pop”. Perfectly innocent?
